Lancaster Chapter No. 943 was instituted by Worthy Grand Patron (WGP) Pat Boone of the Grand Chapter of Texas, the Order of the Eastern Star on June 29, 1948.

On February 5, 1949, WGP T.G. Rogers presented the Lancaster Chapter 943 with its’ Charter. The chapter has since prospered and gained respect throughout the community for it’s involvement and contribution to the people of Lancaster, Texas.

The  membership almost doubled in August 1980, when the DeSoto Chapter demised and their members affiliated with the Lancaster Chapter. Then in 2012, the Waxahachie Chapter merged with the Lancaster Chapter.  With every merger, the chapter gains a new vitality to spread the morals and ideals of the Eastern Star. .
